Since starting in 2011, Double Six has built up the expertise required to navigate this complex and ever changing area of the industry; understanding the size and complexity of the market, society rules and practices, qualification criteria and data requirements and has put the necessary systems and processes in place to manage this.
Globally these rights exist in just over 50 countries and we work directly in 40 of those to maximise revenues and then through reciprocal society agreements or local companies on the ground where not, according to the specific territory needs
Our team compiles complete discographies for performers using various authoritative data sources and manages label catalogues to ensure compliance across all societies
We claim for performances and ensure repertoire is registered directly with local societies adhering to all of their requirements
We proactively work with labels and other companies around the world to ensure disputes are resolved as quickly and effectively as possibly ahead of society distributions
Use airplay reports to monitor our client’s repertoire usage and audit claims and revenue received
We proactively check for gaps and use sophisticated systems to match society played and unclaimed recordings data and claim for all possible periods. Society limitation periods vary by territory but are most commonly 3 years.
Provide statements each quarter with track, source, and country information so that you can see exactly which recordings have been used: how, where and when. All statements are available on our client portal whenever you need them
